Formed in 1992, Corin USA is based
in the University Center in Tampa
Florida – the 7th largest port in the USA, which boasts
superb transport connections to both East and West coasts
and Internationally.
Initially a joint venture with a US company, Corin USA
became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Corin Group in 1996.
The company uses a network |

of agents to provide local coverage throughout the USA,
supported by a dedicated team of product support and
regulatory specialists based in the Corin office. |

Initially a significant supplier of bipolar and cemented hip
stem prostheses, the company extended its product portfolio
through the 1990’s, gaining FDA approval for cementless
acetabular and femoral components, and spinal pedicle screw
systems.
Today, Corin USA reflects the Corin Groups global emphasis
on innovative products, particularly for the younger, active
patient. Both the Rotaglide mobile bearing knee system and
the Cormet metal-on-metal Hip Resurfacing system are
currently undergoing FDA IDE trials. The company hopes this
will lead to full approval, making these
internationally-acclaimed products available to surgeons and
patients in the USA.
The company is also developing new products in the USA. The
Cervive Anterior Cervical Plate System, launched at the
recent NASS Meeting in Montreal, has been developed in
conjunction with Dr Emory Alexander at the River City
Orthopedic & Spine Centre in Columbus Georgia – showing
Corin’s commitment to the world’s most important market for
orthopedic products. |
